Classes with Val at NOHO Pottery

The community is warm and welcoming, the studio is well equipped and has a wonderful feeling, and Val is a very experienced, kind and knowledgeable teacher. Clay, glaze and firing are included in the cost of the class.

Current students are welcome to come to one  open studio practice time per weekend on
  • Fridays 6:00-8:00 pm,
  • Saturdays from 9:00am- 11:00 am 
  • Saturdays from 11:30 am-1:30 pm
If the system will not let you register for the class that you want, it may be that the class is full, or I have not yet made the buttons live- please join the waitlist! Sometimes people have to cancel last minute and I will reach out to folks on the waitlist.

Making Faces workshop

Monday   April 28

​Faces are one of the most compelling things for us to look at- so lets play with them in clay! 
We will get down and dirty with the anatomy of the human face, but only as a starting point. From there we will play with variations like caricature, cartoon and critter. We will discuss practical issues as we dream into what you might do with faces in pottery, sculpture and relief.
