The community is warm and welcoming, the studio is well equipped and has a wonderful feeling, and Val is a very experienced, kind and knowledgeable teacher. Clay, glaze and firing are included in the cost of the class.

What wishes, intentions, goals do you have for the new year? What qualities of being do you want to bring into your life? Let's have some fun creating some playful and sacred objects to hold and represent these things so we can be reminded through the year! |
- Learn to use basic hand-building techniques, pinch, coil and attachments, to create sculptural objects or vessels
- engage the meditative quality of this process to embue your objects with magic
- explore the use of terre sigilatta and burnishing as a surface treatment
- I will show how to create a simple pit firing at home
- Adults of all experience levels welcome
